Rush is an established and respected figure in the Hip Hop world with a story that spans over 20 years. From his humble beginnings on the streets of New Zealand learning Breaking fundamentals and Hip Hop culture, Rush has taken his craft to another level with career highlights including:

  • Choreographing for SYTYCD Season 1
  • Performing at Sydney Opera House
  • Resident Instructor at Urban Dance Centre Sydney
  • Judging International Breaking competitions (ie. BC One Australia, Circle Kingz Switzerland & Radikal Forze Jam Singapore)
  • Setting an untouched record of winning the Australian Bboy Championship title 5 times

Rush is a member of three world renowned crews – Fresh Sox (Australia), 7 Dollars (Switzerland) and MZK(New York) and has trained under Bboy pioneers Alien Ness (Bronx), Poe One (Los Angeles), Storm (Germany) & Break Ezy (Brooklyn). Forever a student and keen to spread his knowledge, Rush has a fresh, unique and intimate teaching style that passes on to his students not only his knowledge but also his love for the dance and Hip Hop culture.

He is also Co-Director of a project based in the Pilbara called ‘The Hood’, which uses Hip Hop Culture as a tool to engage Indigenous youth and help over come social barriers.

Besides dance he has been organising events for the past 11 years.

The Co-director for ‘Shadow Wars’, an internationally recognised Hip Hop event in association with Red Bull encompassing Dancers from all over the world, DJ’s and Graffiti writers.

Rush has also worked with RedBull BC-ONE, another internationally recognised Breakdancing event, which took him to Johannesburg and Paris to be part of the production.
